1) How to view and edit the details of a bug?
To view and edit the details of a Bug click on the relevant Bug link and you
will be taken to Update Bug Details page as shown below. This page also enables
you to change the status of the Bug such as Close or Reopen. If the bug is closed,
you can see only one button, Reopen, to reopen it. If the status is open, you can
close, enhance or defer the bug using Close, Enhancement or Defer button.
2) How to update a bug?
Click the Open Bugs link and page will show the details of all open bugs. To
view more details of any Open Bug click the relevant link and you will be taken
to a Bug Update Details page as shown below. You can change the status of the
bug such as Close, Enhancement or Defer by following the respective button on
the top of the page.
Adding Attachments - To add new attachment select the Add New Attachment checkbox
below the Attached Files at the bottom of the page. A popup window Bug Tracking
System: Add Attachment will appear. Select the file(s) and click on the Add
Attachments button to add new attachment.
You can send an email to the reporter and assignee of the Bug regarding the
updates made by opting Send Email option on this page.
After making changes wherever necessary, click on the Save button to save your
changes.
Note: To close an open bug or do enhancement, you should have Close Bug privilege
given by your Administrator.
3) How to open a bug?
An enhancement can be opened as a bug; a closed bug can be reopened as bug; a
deferred bug can be opened or deferred again for some time.
4) How to close a bug?
Only those who have "Can Close" privilege can close a bug or do enhancement. An
opened bug can be closed after reviewing it. The closed bug can have "fixed" or
"done" or "not a bug" status.
